Make paste of overnight soaked Cholar Dal. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder and pinch of turmeric powder. Whisk Dal batter.

Pour oil in pan. Temper with 1/2 Tsp Jeera.Put Dal paste. Fry for few minutes, then transfer to a ghee greased plate. Cut into cubes. Pour oil in pan. Fry Dhokas. Take them out and set aside.

Make paste of tomato and ginger. Pour oil in pan. Put it in pan. Add 1 Tsp Coriander powder, 2 Tsp Jeera powder and 1 Tsp Turmeric powder. Cook till raw smell of masala goes away.

Add water and put fried Dhoka cubes. Lower the flame and cook Dhokas absorb the flavour. Put off flame and serve hot.
