First, add refined oil to a pan, then brown the bay leaves, green chilies, and onions well. Add the ginger and garlic paste and peas, and sauté well.

In a pot, bring water to a boil with salt, green chilies, bay leaves, and black cardamom.

Once the rice has boiled a couple of times, check by pressing it between your fingers. Grind all the spices in a mixer, add to the peas, mix well, and remove from heat. Once the rice is ready, layer it with the prepared spiced peas.

Mix yellow food color in kewra water and sprinkle a few drops over the top. Let the pea pulao sit on low heat for 10 minutes. Our pea pulao in biryani style is ready.
