Boil the potatoes with a pinch of salt.

Heat oil in a pan.

Put the cumin seeds and dry red chili in the oil and let it crackle for a few seconds.

Cut the potatoes into cubes and put them in the pan and fry for 2 mins.

Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt and fry for two more mins.

Then add the peas to the pan and fry till the peas become soft and the potatoes turn golden brown.

And your aloo matar is ready, serve it hot with chapati.
