A while ago, I found a great recipe online and adapted it to fit our cooking style. My husband prefers white sauce bases, so when we have pizza night at home, I alternate between this recipe and a white sauce pizza for him. I make my pizza dough in a bread machine.

Prepare your dough if you’re not using store-bought pizza dough.

Thinly slice the onions.

Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy; use the rendered fat as your cooking oil. Add the sliced onions and cook for about 5 minutes.

Prepare the cream mixture. Mix the Greek yogurt (or fromage blanc) and heavy cream together. Add salt, pepper, and nutmeg to taste.

Preheat the oven to 450°F (about 230°C).

Roll out the dough and place it on a baking sheet. Spread the cream and yogurt mixture over the dough, leaving about a 3/4-inch (2 cm) border around the edges.

Sprinkle the onion and bacon mixture evenly over the top.

Lower the oven temperature to 375–400°F (190–200°C), preferably using a pizza setting if your oven has one. Bake for about 10 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
