In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix it very well. Now add ghee and rub it to the mixture making sure it reaches everywhere. Now add the milk a little at a time and mix it to make a dough. Don't add all the milk at once use only the amount which is needed to make a hard and stiff dough. Knead it for a couple of minutes.

Cover it and keep it aside for 30-40 minutes. After that knead it again for 2 minutes and make big balls of it. Roll out the balls like a disc. It should be half an inch thick and cut in the desired shape. I used a cookie cutter to shape it. You can use any glass or cap of the jar to cut it. Heat oil in a wok when it's moderately hot add this khasta one by one don't overlap them. Fry it in a medium flame flipping it from both sides until it got a beautiful reddish-brown colour.

Cool down completely and store it in an air-tight container. It will be good for a month at room temperature. Make it and enjoy it with your family.
IMPORTANT
You can also use All-purpose Flour instead of whole wheat flour and Semolina in place of oats. You can add any dry fruit of your choice or a mix of dry fruits or you can skip it also. Feel free to adjust the sugar accordingly. Use clarified butter(desi ghee) this will give an extra taste to your cookies.HAPPY COOKING 😊
