Perfect Bread Rolls

This recipe is super easy and if you’re feeling bold enough, you can even make braai bread with it, roosterbrood. For that, simply shape the dough into squares and fill with a filling of your choice and pop onto the fire. 👌🏼

Steps
- 1
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Along with the margarine.
- 2
Once the margarine has mixed in with the dry ingredients, add your water and mix together.
- 3
Once your dough is formed, kneed it for about 5-10 minutes.
- 4
Place cling wrap over your bowl and place outside in the sun till it’s doubled in size. If you’re doing this at night, fill your sink with warm water and place your bowl in it with a cloth over the whole thing to capture as much heat as possible.
- 5
Once it’s doubled in size (30min - 45min). Divide your dough and create balls.
- 6
Place your rolls onto a floured baking tray and bake at 180Degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- 7
When the top feels hard and the roll somewhat hollow you’ll know it ready or simply break one open and see.
