Presenting a yummy and easy peasy tea snacking / starter and very much suitable for lunch box too , its steamed SUJI / Rava BALLS.
These cut n soft balls are steamed and then tampered in quick n simple way that leads the way to yum yum balls which goes well with a hot hot cuppa tea / coffee.

In a pan add oil/ghee, add ginger paste + green chili, and sauté for a few seconds then add water and bring to boil.

Add salt + pepper powder + sugar in water mix well and then add rava, stir continuously to prevent forming of lumps, cook rava till water absorbs and the mixture turns thick. Switch off the flame and transfer it to a plate. Let it cool.

After cooling (not fully cooled but warm) grease palms and knead cooked rava, it will take the form of dough, pinch medium size from dough and make balls, steam balls for 10 minutes and keep aside.

Assemble ingredients for tampering.

In the pan add ghee/oil, add mustard seeds + red chili + Chana Dal + urad dal + curry leaves + hing + turmeric and sauté for 1 -2 minutes, then add the steamed balls + salt and stir fry for 2 minutes. Balls are ready to Serve.

Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with cashews.
Serve with hot ginger tea and enjoy the softballs.
