Soak dry khelra in water for 30mins. Cut them into small pieces.

In a nonstick pan, pour oil and heat it. Add cumin seed and allow it to flutter. Add khelra pieces with water.

Add all the spices and mix well. Cover with a lid. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add sugar and cook for 2mins so that sugar gets dissolved with the khelra.

Switch off the burner. Transfer the khelra chutney in a serving bowl.
