Ingredients

  1. 1 bunchsarson leaves
  2. 1 bunchpalak(spinach)
  3. as required Ginger
  4. as required Garlic
  5. 2 Green chillies
  6. as required Makke flour (maize flour)
  7. as per tasteSalt
  8. as per needCoriander leaves
  9. as requiredButter
  10. as requiredOil
  11. 1onion
  12. as per taste Jaggery

Cooking Instructions

    Clean and wash sarson and palak leaves

  2. 2

    Cook in pressure cooker till soft

  3. 3

    After cooling transfer in mixer jar,add 1tbsp makke ka aata and blend well

  4. 4

    Now in a kadhai, heat 2tbsp oil and some butter or ghee

  5. 5

    Add finely chopped onion

  6. 6

    Add Green chillies, ginger, garlic paste

  7. 7

    Add salt

  8. 8

    Add blended vegetables

  9. 9

    Add 1 cup water

  10. 10

    Cook for 10min on low flame, sprinkle coriander leaves

    Sarson ka Saag is ready

    Now for makke ki roti, take maize flour, add 1/2tsp salt

    Make dough by adding water

  14. 14

    Knead well

  15. 15

    Roll and roast like chapati but keep slightly thick

  16. 16

    Apply butter

    Serve hot makke ki roti with sarson ka Saag and Jaggery
