Patakha Chicken is famous street food in Nathiya Gali (Muree) , as it's name Patakha Chicken , yes it's taste like Patakha with the flavor of lots of chilli flakes... It's not too spicy or not too hot but it has Amazingly Delicious flavours, simple yet Tasty.
As I m not a fan of deep frying , so I shallow fry it. But is a choice. Both are best.
Tip: while frying the Patakha Chicken , chilli flakes turn to burn so while frying strain the. Chilli flakes from oil and discard. (Originally these fried chilli flakes are served with Patakha Chicken )

Ingredients

30 minutes
5-6 servings
  • 1 1/2 kgwhole Chicken
  • 2 tblsginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 cuplemon juice
  • 2 tblsvinegar
  • 6 tblsChilli flakes
  • 1/2 tesp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tesp Black pepper
  • 1/4 tesp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Fry

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl add chilli flakes, vinegar,lemon juice.....

    Soya sauce, ginger garlic paste, salt.....

    Red chilli powder, turmeric powder and black pepper then mix it well.

    Take whole chicken cut from the center of chicken breast and make it butterfly shape.
    Now mark cuts in different angles.

    Apply this prepared chilli mixture on the whole chicken, cover and keep itno fridge for overnight or at least 2 hours.

    Cover with cling and keep in fridge.

    Shallow or deep fry the chicken into preheated medium high oil till golden brown from both sides.
    Cook from one side then turn.
