Beef and broccoli gravy
Steps
- 1
Julienne your beef (cut into thin long strips). Wash and drain.
- 2
Put beef in a bowl. Marinate with soysauce, ginger garlic paste, beef seasoning, buillion cube (optional). Allow to marinade for about an hour. I left mine overnight in a refrigerator.
- 3
Add vegetable oil in a wok. Put some onion slices, crushed garlic and chopped ginger. Saute. Add your beef strips and stir fry. Allow to cook till beef is brownish in color.
- 4
Add in beef stock / water. Add your salt/ seasoning cube to taste. Allow to boil over. Lower flame and allow to keep cooking.
- 5
Julienne your carrots, broccoli, onion and sweet pepper. Add carrots first to your pot. Allow to cook for about 3 minutes then add onion and broccoli. Drizzle a little browning. (Completely optional. I only drizzle browning to get a lovely brown colour). Give your pot a lovely stir.
- 6
Mix corn flour with water to get a smooth paste. Add to your pot gradually while stirring to avoid forming lumps. Allow to boil. Add sweet pepper and bring down from heat.
- 7
Serve hot with choice of food. Pairs really well with rice or pasta
