First wash rice with plain water for 2 to times then soak in water for 20 min.

In pot add 4 cups of water when it start to boil add soaked rice then add salt give it a quick stir, cook on high flame for 4 min then strain it in strainer..

Now add strained rice again in pot,
Cover it with airtight cover and put rice for dum for 5 min on very slow flame. - 4
Enjoy with daal and curry and papad, pickles
