Here is a quick and easy way to make khus syrup at home. You will feel very relaxed with the fragrance of khus that comes out when you make it. You will get roots of khus at any near by ayurvedic (ghandi ni dukan) shop.

Here is a quick and easy way to make khus syrup at home. You will feel very relaxed with the fragrance of khus that comes out when you make it. You will get roots of khus at any near by ayurvedic (ghandi ni dukan) shop.

Steps

First wash roots of khus properly. As they are roots it has lots of dirt and impurities. (You can also sock them in water for 1/2 an hour).

In a pan add washed roots, water and sugar. Bring it to a boil. After that lower the flame and let it reduce till you get one string consistency.

Cool down the mixture. Now add 2-3 drops of green food colour. Mix it well. Our khus syrup is ready. Store it in airtight bottle and keep in refrigerator. You can use it making milk shakes, ice cream and mocktails.
