MeatyEid is special event because everyone is willing to sacrifice best animals . For the love of Allah SWT & Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim AS , we see great enthusiasm not only in elders but kids are more interested & love animals. We prefer to sacrifice animals on 1st day of Eid Ul Adha as 2nd & 3rd days are always engaged in dawats. As usual after eid namaz butcher came around 8:00 am. Alhamdolillah we were free by 3:00 pm with 5 goats distribution. Pulao, kalaijee & Namkeen gosht are always must eid day . A farmaish & favourite dish of my husband ❤️

Soak rice for 2 hours.

Wash meat 🥩. Special Tip = Take pot & add water. Boil it & add 1 tsp haldi powder. When it boils add meat in it. Boil for 3 minutes. Discard this smelly water & keep meat aside.

Slice onion 🧅 and fry in khalis ghee. Add bay leaf, zeera, black pepper corns black cardamom, cinnamon. Sauté till good aroma. Add meat & fry for 5 minutes.

One more #tip to make pulao tasty is add whole 🧄 bulb with skin in yakni & before adding rice squeeze the garlic pulp and discard the skin.

Add ginger and fry for a while. Add 2 glasses of water and let it cook in cooker till meat is tendered. Squeeze garlic at this stage.

Add green chilli, black pepper powder & garam masala.

Now yakhni is ready. Add rice. Always add salt after adding rice. Add 2 tbsp vinegar so rice won’t stick together.

Let it cook till all yakhni dries. Give dum for 10 minutes on high flame & 10 minutes on low flame.

Enjoy with yogurt.
