Sweets are integral part of any festival. For this special occasion we usually make delicacies as per families tradition and taste. Besan ladoo or Magaj Ladoo is a traditional sweets of India and are occasionally part of every Indian celebration. In fact I have grown eating these ladoos in almost every occasion. Besan Ladoo, if stored well has a long shelf life so you can relish them for many days.

In a kadahi, melt the ghee and add the gram flour. Stir-fry over low heat.

Roast the gram flour / besan by stirring continuously. You will have to roast the gram flour almost around 15-20 minutes
As gram flour is getting roasted it will change it color slightly to light brown. Add milk and quickly stir the mixture. Do not burn. - 3
Now switch off the stove and pour the mixture on a wide plate and keep aside
Now add powdered sugar/ bura and cardamom powder. Mix well. Allow it to cool. - 4
When the mixture is warm, take a portion of mixture and shape them in shape of ladoos

Garnish the ladoo with silver leaf. Store in an airtight container.
