Energy balls (tahini, oat + orange)

These are a nice little healthy snack. They're best eaten chilled, straight out of the fridge.

How to adapt this recipe:

Start with a base of oats, tahini and melted coconut oil. Oats provide bulk, while the tahini and coconut oil both provide flavour and help it to all stick together.

Now you can experiment with the additional ingredients:

✨ Prunes, dates or other dried fruit add sweetness. Alternatively, use a sweetener, like honey.

✨ Orange zest adds a nice zingy bright flavour that counters the oats and tahini which can be quite claggy otherwise. It's a strong flavour so if you don't like orange, leave it out

✨ Cinnamon is a nice earthy spice. Maybe try allspice or a little ground cardamom as alternative?

✨ Salt is the magic ingredient! Lovely with sweetness of dried fruit for sweet/salty vibe

✨ Try adding a handful of nuts

✨ Swap the sesame seeds for ground flaxseeds or leave out completely.
