Ingredients

  • 125 gramsKhoya
  • 2 tbspMaida (All-purpose flour)
  • 1/4 tspCardamom Powder
  • 2-4 tbspMilk
  • As RequiredGhee needed for frying
  • 1& 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Water
  • 1/2 tspCardamom Powder

    For Making Sugar Syrup: - 1. Take a wide pot. Add Sugar and Water. Heat on a medium flame until the Sugar dissolved. Let the syrup boil until it reaches a sticky consistency. After that add cardamom powder and mix well and keep it aside.

    For Making Dough: - 1. In a mixing bowl, stir together grated Khoya, and add flour, and Cardamom Powder.

    2. Pour milk only as needed little by little to make soft crack-free dough.

    3. Divide the dough into small berry-size balls.

  5. 5

    4. Take each ball in between your palms, and rub it gently until it becomes soft. The balls should be soft and crack-free.

  6. 6

    5. For Making Gulab Jamun : - 1. Heat Ghee in a Deep Pot or Kadhai. Check the Ghee is hot on a medium flame. Regulate the flame to medium. Bengan to drop one ball at a time. Then slowly add as many balls as possible.

    6. Fry until golden brown. Keep stirring and fry them uniformly.

  8. 8

    7. Allow the balls to cool a bit for 3 to 5 mins. Add them to slightly hot sugar syrup. The sugar syrup should not be very hot.

  9. 9

    8. Gently rotate the Gulab Jamun in the syrup. Let them soak for 45 mins before serving.

  10. 10

    9. Serve Gulab Jamun with Sugar Syrup. Garnish with thinly sliced Pistachios.
