This is a simple recipe, no stuffing, Saute Steamed rice dumplings with spices and coconut. This is popularly known as mani kozhukaddai . Mani is the tamil word for bead.

Collect the necessary materials. Place near the cooking area

Take flour in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee or oil and salt. Add boiling water to the flour mix little by little with a spoon to make a soft dough. Knead; There should be no lumps.
Kneaded well, the dough does not stick to the hand, apply oil and cover it with a wet cloth for 20 minutes.
Make a a rope out of the dough and cut it into small pieces,; place it in the palm of your hand and make small balls, Do not press the balls hard. the dumplings are ready for steaming - 3
Add enough water to a cooker pot on high flame and cover and bring to a boil. Take an Idli stand, grease the plate with oil and place the balls. Place the stand in the cooker (without weight) cover the cooker and steam for 5 minutes. No pressure. Take it out and let it cool..

To season: Heat oil in a kadai over medium heat, then add mustard. After the mustards splutter, season with cumin, fenugreek, asafetida, 2minute. Stir in ginger, curry leaves and chilles. 1 minute, Add grated coconut, stir for 2 minutes, coconuts should not change color. add the steamed dumplings. cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the stove. cool
