  • 1/2 cuprice flour
  • requiredSalt
  • Seasoning:
  • 1 tablespoonoil, preferably sesame seed oil
  • 1/2 teaspoonmustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoonurud
  • 1/2 teaspoongreen chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tspfenugreek
  • 1/2 tspasafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoonginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric powder
  • 1/4 ccurry leaves
  • 1/2 cupdesiccated coconut or freshly grated coconut

    Collect the necessary materials. Place near the cooking area

    Take flour in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of ghee or oil and salt. Add boiling water to the flour mix little by little with a spoon to make a soft dough. Knead; There should be no lumps.
    Kneaded well, the dough does not stick to the hand, apply oil and cover it with a wet cloth for 20 minutes.
    Make a a rope out of the dough and cut it into small pieces,; place it in the palm of your hand and make small balls, Do not press the balls hard. the dumplings are ready for steaming

    Add enough water to a cooker pot on high flame and cover and bring to a boil. Take an Idli stand, grease the plate with oil and place the balls. Place the stand in the cooker (without weight) cover the cooker and steam for 5 minutes. No pressure. Take it out and let it cool..

    To season: Heat oil in a kadai over medium heat, then add mustard. After the mustards splutter, season with cumin, fenugreek, asafetida, 2minute. Stir in ginger, curry leaves and chilles. 1 minute, Add grated coconut, stir for 2 minutes, coconuts should not change color. add the steamed dumplings. cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the stove. cool

    Transfer the dumplings to another bowl. Offer the dumplings to Ganesh. May Ganesh shower his choicest blessings on you all. Share with friends and family. Have a good celebration..
    Good taste. Everyone likes mani kozhukaddai, children as well as adults
