A Mauritian street food that is so delicious! Weddings in Mauritius serve this along with 7 different curries too.

Add all your dry ingredients then add your water and butter, mix till you get a dough.

Cover your dough with butter and cover it. Leave it 30 minutes.

Divide your dough into 16 pieces then roll into a ball and dip in oil before rolling it out.

Once’s rolled out, place your puri into the oil. It should puff up. Cook for only 2-3 minutes on either side. DO NOT OVER COOK.
Tip: gently push the puri with your slotted spoon so the oil can go over your puri while cooking in the beginning stages.

Place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. All done 😋.
