For 2 persons take 1 kg. Pomfret fish pieces. First wash with haldi powder and salt twice or thrice. Drain the water and keep aside. Then marinate the fish with haldi powder, salt and 1/2 tsp mustard oil. Keep aside for 1/2 an hrs. Heat mustard oil in a iron kadai. Then fry the fish in slow flame till it is light brown in color both the sides. Once it is done then transfer to a plate and keep aside...

For curry paste : 1 chopped tomato, handful dhania leaves, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 1"ginger, 1" cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 2 Elaichi pods, few black pepper seeds. Grind it in a grinder and make a fine paste. Once it is done then keep aside. Meanwhile heat mustard oil in a kadai. Fry 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1 bay leaf and 1 dry red chilli. Then add the masala paste, haldi powder, red chilli powder as needed and 1 tsp green chilli and garlic paste. Fry till the raw smell of masala goes off...

Now add green peas but it is optional. I love peas so I have added in a curry. Mix.it well now add enough water... When it starts boiling then add fried fish... Check it if you want juicy then add water. But I want gravy so I am not adding water... Once it is done.. Transfer to a serving bowl...

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.Serve..with hot.steam rice...
