Steps

Soak rice for few 20 minutes.

Peel and dice the potatoes.

Scrap and slice the carrots.

Finely chop the onions.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add in onion and fry till light golden.

Add in ginger,garlic and chilli powder and mix.

Add in chicken and fry well.

Add in vegetables,lemon and little water.

Cook till chicken and vegetables are tender and moisture evaporates.

Add in coriander,mint,chillies and garam masala.

Boil rice with cumin,Cinnamon,cardamom and peppercorns.

Layer chicken and rice together.

Drizzle colour and kewra on top.

Cook covered on dum for 15- 20 minutes.

Serve hot.
