Steps

First, wash, peel and check the Doodhi for bitterness.
Then cut into cubes. Mix chilli powder, salt and sugar and keep covered. - 2
Now, heat a pan and add ghee. Then add cumin seeds, green chillies and let them pop. Then add ginger and saute' well.

Then add the bottle gourd or Doodhi and stirfry in ghee for 2 minutes.

Now mix in the hot water and cover to cook till soft. Keep checking in between.

When the Doodhi is fully cooked, add the whipped curd mixed with ground peanut powder and stir gently.

Cook for just one minute and switch off the flame. Serve immediately with sabudana khichdi or sama rice Khichdi.

It tastes delicious.
