Take badi and break into 2-3 pieces as after boiling they will become bigger. Peel of and cut potatoes in big chunks. Keep in water so do not get black.

Peel off and chop 1 onion roughly and put in a mixture jar along with ginger-chili-garlic paste and grind. Chop the other 2 onions into thin slices. Now heat an iron Kadai add oil and fry Badi and then add onions to fry. Take them out as it's done.

Now in the same Kadai add mustard+cumin+fenugreek seeds and let them splutter. Add ground onion paste and saute. Then add all dry masala and saute till oil is released. Now its time to add potatoes, fried Badi, and onions. Saute for 2-3 minutes and then add salt and water. Mix it well and let it cook for 10-15 minutes on slow gas covering the lid.

After that check the subji. Its ready so sprinkle garam masala and coriander leaves and serve it hot with roti and rice.
