Ingredients

  1. 1 lb.Pork Breakfast Sausage (Any Flavor Sausage You Prefer)
  2. 3 TbspButter
  3. 1/3 CupAll Purpose Flour
  4. 3-4 CupsWhole Milk
  5. 1 TspBlack Pepper (More To Taste)
  6. 1/2 TspSalt (More To Taste)
  7. 1/2 TspOnion Powder (Optional)
  8. 1/2-1 TspGarlic Powder (More To Taste)
  9. 1/2-1 TspCajun or Creole Seasoning (Optional)
  10. 1/2-1 TspRed Pepper Flakes (More To Taste)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat a Deep Skillet to Medium Heat. Add Breakfast Sausage and Break up into Small Pieces. Cook, Stirring Occasionally, until Nicely Browned. Stir in Butter.

    Once Butter is Melted, Stir in Flour. Cook for a Minute or Two, stirring Constantly, until Rawness of the Flour is gone. Slowly pour in Milk, while Stirring. Start with Small Amounts at a time, until all Lumps are Smoothed out. Add Seasonings.

    Let Simmer, stirring Occasionally, until Hot. Serve over Biscuits. (See my Biscuit recipe!)
