Rinse rice thoroughly until it runs clear

Boil rice 10-15 minutes until al dente. Drain and run under cold water

Let saffron bloom in a few tablespoons of very hot water 10 minutes

Cover bottom of pot with oil. Add parboiled rice back to pot. Poke holes for steam. Spread cubes of butter across top. Pour on saffron water

Wrap lid with kitchen towel. Add splash of water to rice. Cook on lowest setting 45 min
