Vegetable Daliya Khichdi is an Indian khichdi made with broken wheat (dalia), moong dal, and vegetables in a pressure cooker. It is a comforting, wholesome one-pot meal packed with all the good nutrients. The consistency of daliya khichdi is very soft which makes it easy for kids to swallow and is also a perfect comfort food, more so during winters.

Vegetable Daliya Khichdi is an Indian khichdi made with broken wheat (dalia), moong dal, and vegetables in a pressure cooker. It is a comforting, wholesome one-pot meal packed with all the good nutrients. The consistency of daliya khichdi is very soft which makes it easy for kids to swallow and is also a perfect comfort food, more so during winters.

First of all in a cooker add ghee, cumin seeds, dry red chillies, curry leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, chopped garlic and daliya and mix everything on slow gas flame Roast for a 3 minute.

Now add finely chopped onions, finely chopped carrots, finely chopped potatoes, yellow moong dal and rice soaked in water for 1 hour and mix well.

After that add finely chopped tomato, salt, garam masala, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and 4 cup water and mix well.

Now add corn kernels and green peas and mix well, close the lid of the cooker and cook for 4 whistle on high flame.

Now daliya khichdi is ready. Take this khichdi out on a plate to serve. Then garnish with coriander leaves, lemon wedge and ghee. I have served this daliya khichdi with masala dahi, masala onion and papad.
