Ingredients

  1. 1 cupblack gram (urad dal)
  2. 1/2 cupkidney beans (rajma)
  3. 1onion
  4. 4 clovesgarlic
  5. 1 pieceginger
  6. 3tomatoes
  7. 1 teaspooncilantro
  8. 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chili powder to taste
  11. 1 teaspoonmakhani dal spice mix
  12. 1 teaspooncoriander powder
  13. 1 teaspoongaram masala
  14. 1bay leaf
  15. 1black cardamom

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the black gram and kidney beans, grate the ginger into them, add salt, and boil.

    Chop the garlic, onion, and tomatoes, then grind them into a paste.

    Heat oil, add cumin seeds, black cardamom, and bay leaf. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté.

    Once the onion is sautéed, add the tomatoes and mix in all the spices.

  5. 5

    When the dal is boiled, mix it with the spices, add cilantro, and serve with tandoori roti.
