Steps
- 1
Bring the piloncillo and cinnamon sticks to a boil with 2 cups of water (about 480 ml) until you get a syrup.
- 2
Slice and toast the bread.
- 3
Layer the toasted bread, cheese, nuts, raisins, peanuts, and shredded coconut in a baking dish.
- 4
Once all the layers are assembled, pour the syrup over them, pressing down gently so all the ingredients are soaked.
- 5
Microwave for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.
- 6
I like to chill it in the refrigerator and eat it cold, but you can enjoy it warm or cold as you prefer.
