I was too lazy to make something elaborate, so I made okonomiyaki instead. We ran out of katsuobushi, so I did not use that.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 200 grsliced cabbage
  2. 3eggs
  3. 1 cupflour
  4. Water
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 2 tspdashi granules
  7. Japanese mayonnaise
  8. Japanese bulldog sauce
  9. Aonori
  10. Oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Combine sliced cabbage, eggs, flour, salt, dashi in a big bowl. Stir well. Add water bit by bit until the mixture becomes a bit thick and not too runny.

  2. 2

Heat about 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Use medium heat. Pour some batter and try to spread it by patting it with a wood spatula. When you notice the bottom side has become brownish, flip the okonomiyaki and wait until the other side is cooked.

  3. 3

Pour some bulldog sauce on it, then Japanese mayo. Sprinkle aonori, and serve.
