Milk Tart

I don’t know why it took me so long to make my very first milk tart because in all honesty, it’s easy peasy. So if you haven’t, definitely give it a go! 🤗
Milk Tart
I don’t know why it took me so long to make my very first milk tart because in all honesty, it’s easy peasy. So if you haven’t, definitely give it a go! 🤗
Steps
- 1
For the crust, cream all the ingredients together except for the flour then add the flour gradually and make a dough.
- 2
Roll dough on a lightly floured surface to a CM or slightly less thickness. Then place in greased and floured oven proof tart dish and trim the edges. (Please poke with a fork, I forgot to do this but it still worked out well).
Bake the crust in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- 3
For the filling, place 2 cups of milk, butter, vanilla and sugar into your pot/sauce pan and let that mix together. Do this on a low to medium heat.
- 4
With your last cup of milk, mix in the eggs and the flour and corn starch. Once it’s all mix together slowly add it to the mixture in the pot. Continue to stir till it thickens.
- 5
Place thickened mixture into your crust and sprinkle your cinnamon on. Once done, place your tart in the fridge to set for a couple of hours and you’re done 😋.
