Roast Makhana for few minutes till turn aromatic and crispy.

Keep half of Makhana and grind remaining half into grainy powder.

Make purée of mangoes and keep aside, sugar can be added depending on the sweetness of mango. Addition of sugar is optional.

In pan add milk and give a boil, then simmer and add whole Makhana and cook for 7-8 minutes under low flame.

Then add powdered Makhana, cook and simmer for 4-5 minutes, gradually mixture starts thickening.

Then add sugar + cardamom powder, mix well, simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.

Kheer is done and allow to cool.

After it is fully cooled, add the mango puree and give a good mix.

Add chopped dry fruits, mix well and Kheer is ready.
