Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupsplit green lentil (moong dal)
  • 1 cupdrumsticks leaves
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 2 tspoil
  • 5/6 podsgarlic
  • 2whole red chilli
  • 1/2 tspeach mustard and cumin seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil dal with 2 cups of water. When dal is around 80% cooked, add the leaves, salt, turmeric and cook together until done.

    In a tadka pan heat oil, splutter mustard and cumin seeds, along with red chilli and crushed garlic. Add the tadka to dal.

    Serve with plain rice or roti.
