This is a refreshing, sweet and tangy drink to quench the thirst during summer. It is a healthy refreshing treat on a hot day.

The plum juice is very easy and quick to make. Wash plums properly before boiling. You can adjust the sugar and salt as per your taste. If you want it to be 100% sweet, skip adding salt to it. I have Himalayan black salt as it has good cooling property and aids in digestion.

Ingredients

30-45minutes
4 servings
  1. 750 gBlack plums
  2. 4-5 CupsWater
  3. 3-4Dried Plums
  4. To taste, Sugar
  5. To taste, Black salt (Himalayan black salt)

Steps

30-45minutes
  1. 1

    Wash the plums and keep aside.

  2. 2

    In a stock pot add the water and plums and bring to boil.

  3. 3

    Add the sugar and salt, cover and cook till plums are tender and almost falling apart.

  4. 4

    Switch off flame and remove the plums. Strain the water and refrigerate for later use.

  5. 5

    Once the plums are cold, remove the skin and the stones.

  6. 6

    Place the pulp in blender and blend to a smooth consistency.

  7. 7

    Mix the blended mixture with the strained water.

  8. 8

    Chill and serve with ice cubes and mint.
