Ground Rice Pudding / Phirni

Wash rice nicely and let it soak in water for 1/2 hour. Grind it in a mixer - grinder coarsely.

Boil the milk. Add ground rice to it.

Stir it continuously. Boil till milk thickens, add sugar and boil till ground rice is cooked. Add cardamom, saffron and few nuts.

Our ground rice pudding is ready. Garnish with nuts. You can serve it warm or chilled.
