Paneer Stuffed Cabbage Roll

Take large cabbage leaves, if they are thick, carefully remove the veins. Wash the leaves.

Boil 4-5 cups of water in a large pan and add a pinch of salt. When the water starts to boil, add the cabbage leaves and blanch for 6 to 8 minutes. Do not over boil.

After 7 minutes, carefully remove the leaves from the water and set aside to air dry. Meanwhile, prepare the Paneer stuffing..

Heat 1-2 tbsp butter in a pan on medium heat. When the butter melts, add cumin seeds, green chillies and allow the cumin seeds to splutter. Then add the green peas and saute until the peas are almost cooked.

Now add paneer and mix. Add salt, chilli powder, turmeric and coriander powder and saute.

Cover and cook on low-medium heat for 4-5 minutes till the green peas are cooked well. Do not overcook, as the paneer will become hard and chewy. Turn off the gas. Let the mixture cool.

Then take the blanched leaf and put 1-2 tbsp of paneer mixture on it. Put cheese piece on top. Be careful not to tear the cabbage leaves.

Fold the four sides like a pocket or fold the two front sides, then make roll. Place it on the plate with the folded side facing down. If the leaf is torn, then double wraf this roll in another cabbage leaf.

Be careful that the paneer mixture does not spill out of the cabbage rolls. To keep the rolls in place, you can insert toothpicks or tie thread around the rolls.

Heat 1 tsp oil in non-stick pan on medium flame. Place cabbage rolls on heated pan. The fold sides should be facing downward.

Shallow fry from both sides for 2-3 minutes till charred. If needed add extra oil.

Serve cabbage paneer rolls hot with sauces of your choice. It's taste Awesome.

You can eat without sauces also as when serve hot, cheese stuffed inside rolls is melted giving cabbage paneer rolls cheesy flavour.
