  • 100 gcalamari rings
  • 1 cupall-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1 teaspoonpaprika
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges to serve

    In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic and paprika for coating.

    Heat vegetable oil in a pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Dredge the calamari rings in the flour mixture, ensuring they're evenly coated.
    Fry the rings in batches until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per batch).

  4. 4

    Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried calamari, placing them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
    Serve hot with lemon wedges.
