My chosen ingredient this week is puff pastry and with it, I made this delicious apple strudel, #GlobalApron

Preheat the oven to 200C and line a cookie sheet with parchment

In a large bowl, stir together the apples, sugar, dried fruits, flour, and salt
- 3
Place one sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured work surface and roll it lightly with a rolling pin to slightly stretch into a rectangle

Fill the center with half of the apple filling, slit the sides of the pastry and fold over apple filling like a loose braid. Seal by dampening with water and pinching all edges. Repeat with the remaining filling and pastry

Transfer onto the prepared baking sheet, brush the tops of each pastry with egg wash. Cut tiny slits across the tops for steam to escape without breaking the strudel as it cooks

Bake for 30 minutes or until golden. Serve warm and plain or with ice-cream. Enjoy 😉
