In a blender, add the dry ingredients first, then add the liquids and blend until smooth.

Place the batter in a warm spot and let it rest for 15 to 30 minutes.

Heat a thick nonstick skillet over high heat until hot, then reduce to medium before pouring the qatayef batter.

Pour the batter onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form and the surface is set. Remove and place on a clean kitchen towel. Repeat with the remaining batter.

Fill with your choice of filling, such as clotted cream, cheese, or walnuts.
