Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  • 4 sheets (2 sheets)frozen puff pastry
  • 1egg yolk
  • Meat pie filling
  • 150 gground meat
  • 1/2onion
  • 1small carrot
  • 1 tablespoonflour
  • 1 tablespoonketchup
  • 1/2 tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Make the filling.
    First, finely chop the carrot and onion.

    Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion and carrot over medium heat.

    Add the ground meat and stir-fry together, then add the three ★ ingredients to season.

    (You can lower the heat and add the ★ ingredients if you prefer.)

    Finally, sprinkle flour, mix lightly, and turn off the heat.
    The meat filling is ready.
    (Let it cool to some extent.)

    Let's make the meat pie.
    Divide the meat filling into two portions.

    Spoon the meat onto the frozen puff pastry sheet.
    (Leave space around the edges to press with a fork.)

    Brush egg yolk around the meat.
    Cut slits 1.5cm to 2cm wide in another puff pastry sheet.

    Place the slit pastry sheet over the meat-filled pastry and press the edges with a fork.

    Brush the surface with egg yolk and bake at 392°F (200°C) for 25 to 35 minutes.
    (Adjust according to your oven.)
