This is my father's favorite 'chikuwa tempura' that he always included in the lunch boxes he made♪
I think half of it ended up in his stomach as taste tests^^;
Of course, I love it too, and now even my husband and daughter are captivated by it♡
The batter doesn't use eggs, so it's easy to make♬

Cooking Instructions

Cut the chikuwa in half lengthwise, then cut each piece in half again.

In a bowl, combine the ■ ingredients and mix gently with chopsticks, being careful not to create bubbles.

Coat the chikuwa with the batter from step 2 and fry in oil heated to 350°F (180°C) until done.

The version with green laver is also recommended for lunch boxes for a nice color contrast♬
