Teriyaki Chicken Burger

Name: Teriyaki Chicken Burger

Ingredients: 2 burger buns; 2 leaves lettuce; 1/4 onion; 1 small chicken thigh; 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce; 1 1/2 tablespoons mirin; 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar; 1 1/2 tablespoons sake; 2 tablespoons mayonnaise; 1 pinch mustard

This is a burger with sweet and savory teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise go perfectly together!
The story of this recipe: I love teriyaki chicken burgers. Making them at home is more cost-effective, so it has become a staple for me!

Makes 2 servings

2burger buns
2 leaveslettuce
1/4onion
1small chicken thigh
1 1/2 tablespoonssoy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoonsmirin
1 1/2 tablespoonssugar
1 1/2 tablespoonssake
2 tablespoonsmayonnaise
1 pinchmustard

Mix the ingredients marked with ★ together.

Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the onion and soak in water, then squeeze out the excess water.

Remove excess yellow fat from the chicken and cut it in half. Make cuts to even out the thickness.

Lightly oil a frying pan (not included in the ingredient list) and cook the chicken skin-side down until browned, then flip. Cover and cook on low heat until cooked through.

Add the ★ mixture and simmer over medium heat until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.

Lightly toast the buns, then layer in this order: bun, mustard, chicken, onion, mayonnaise, lettuce, bun.

Serve on a plate. Wrap in wax paper to eat.
