Ingredients

  1. Main Ingredients
  2. 10large white shrimp
  3. Sauce
  4. 2/3 cupShaoxing wine (150 ml)
  5. 2/3 cupwater (150 ml)
  6. 5 slicesastragalus root
  7. 3dried red dates
  8. Goji berries, to taste
  9. 1 pinchsugar
  10. 2 tablespoonssalt
  11. 4 slicesginger
  12. 1whole scallion, cut into sections

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Prepare all the ingredients as shown in the picture on the left.

    Add all the sauce ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil. Set aside.

    In another pot, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes until just done. Remove the shrimp and place them into the sauce from step 2. Let cool, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.
