Guvar bataka nu shaak

Wash guvar. Cut off the two ends. Cut the guvar into 1 inch pieces. Peel, wash and cut potatoes around ½ cm cubes.

Heat up oil, crackle ajwain, add garlic, turmeric powder and asafoetida. Fry a bit. Add guvar, potatoes and salt. Combine everything well. Fry for 2-3 min. Then after add about ¼ cup of water, combine, cover and cook till the veggies are completely cooked.

Add the spices, combine very well. Fry a bit till the spices are cooked. Stir a few times in between so that the spices get cooked thoroughly and blends well with the veggies.

Add sugar. Combine well and cook till oil oozes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
