Steak & Blue cheese pasta
I had this at a restaurant and loved it, tried to recreate it.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put a pot of water with a little salt to boil (for the noodles). Pat dry steak & trim off excess fat. Season with salt, pepper, Creole seasoning, garlic powder (if using) and baking soda, rub it in & do both sides. Let sit for 10-30 minutes.
- 2
Place 1/2 of oil in a deep skillet or caldero over medium-high heat. Place steak & let cook 4 min on each side, then remove.
- 3
Remove oil & burnt pieces from pan. Add other half of oil & add mushrooms & about 1/4 tsp of salt. Cook for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat & put aside.
- 4
Add seed or olive oil to pot and turn heat to medium. Add onion & garlic, let cook for a few minutes, add some salt & pepper if desired. Add broth & Worcestershire sauce, stir. Turn heat to medium high til it starts to bubble, than turn heat down to medium low & let simmer for 5 minutes. In meantime, cut steak into bite size pieces. Your pasta water should be boiling by now, add noodles & use cooking time on package.
- 5
Add the cheese and the cream to the pan along with the steak and mushrooms and any accumulated juices, and 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and parsley if using. Pour in your pasta water. Add Simmer to heat through, about 1 minute.
- 6
Place drained, cooked pasta in pot & mix. You can add more parsley if desired.

Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni
This was made with leftover steak we brought home from a new steakhouse we tried that was less than stellar (lesson learned, we're sticking to our "regular" place from now on lol). I didn't want to completely waste our money so I was just trying to figure out a way to salvage the mess we brought home using what I had on hand. This turned out pretty dang good, and using evaporated milk as a substitute for cream is always tasty (I do it often). You can definitely use fresh steak if you don't have any leftover from another meal, and it absolutely can be any cut you wish! StephieCanCook -
Steak with gorgonzola and spinach Steak with gorgonzola and spinach
It's become one of my missions in life to discover new and wonderful ways to spruce up a steak dinner. This dish is the latest entry. It takes three of my favourite things - juicy steak, sharp gorgonzola and silky spinach - and combines them into one really delicious, decadent mouthful. Robert Gonzal
