First and foremost sort out the beans and remove all the small stone and visible dirty materials

Then wash the beans twice in cold water.

The boil the beans for 1hr 30mins in a jiko/stove, or 30 mins using a pressure cooker, while the beans is boiling remove the maize from the maize cobs.

Add the maize to the boiling beans and allow it to boil for 30 more minutes.

After 2hr check to see if the mixture is soft. if soft then continue to frying.

Into a different cooking pan put one one tbsp of oil and then the diced onions

Then cut the tomatoes and coriander into small pieces and add them (coriander and tomatoes) one at time to the cooking pan as soon as the onions turn golden brown.

Then add the boiled mixture of maize and beans to the pan, mix and allow it to cook for 5 mins.

Then add one tbsp of royco and 1/4 cup of water to prevent it from burning.

Then serve while hot
