Ingredients

  • For Luchi
  • 150 gramsmaida
  • 1 teaspoonrefined oil
  • 10 gramscard
  • Salt & sugar to taste
  • For Cocoa Potato Curry
  • 7 piecesbaby potato
  • 2 spoonraisin paste & watermelon seeds paste (together)
  • 10 gramscashew nuts
  • Halfbowl coconut milk
  • 15 gramscurd
  • 2 teaspoonskashmiri laal mirch paste
  • 2 teaspoongrated coconut powder
  • 30 mlmustard oil
  • 1 teaspoonginger paste & cumin paste
  • 1 teaspoondhaniya powder
  • 1 teaspoongaram masala
  • Salt, sugar, turmeric powder to taste
  • 1 teaspoonghee
  • For frying luchi
  • 100 mlrefined oil

    In order to make luchi and Cocoa Potato Curry at first we have to peel the potatoes well and using a fork make some cuts deep into the potatoes. On the other hand make a dough with maida, refined oil curd, Salt, sugar & water. In a medium sized Bowl the potatoes are marinated with salt and a pinch of kashmiri laal mirch powder.Now heating up the frying pan with mustard oil fry potatoes for 10 minutes until it gets golden.

    Add cashew nuts into mustard oil and fry them lightly. Now it is the time to Cook ginger paste, cumin paste, grated coconut powder,dhaniya powder & kashmiri laal mirch paste for 5 minutes in low medium flame. When oil comes out of the gravy add salt, sugar, turmeric powder. Now add curd, water melon seeds paste, raisin paste and a little bit of water into the gravy. Cook it in medium flame for 3-4 minutes and add fried potatoes, fried cashew nuts.

    Now it's time to add coconut milk and garam masala powder into the gravy. Cook for another 5 minutes before adding ghee. Cocoa Potato Curry is ready to serve.

    It's time for Luchi frying. It's quite easy. Make platter with balloon. Fry it in frying pan with refined oil. Serve them hot with Cocoa Potato Curry, Chutney(sweet mango pickle) and bengali deserts.
