Craving something sweet but don't want to turn on the oven in this heat? Treat yourself to this easy semifreddo, made with just a few simple ingredients and already portioned out! All you need is Greek yogurt, powdered sugar, the zest of an orange, and some ladyfinger cookies—then you're all set. I used frozen organic orange zest from winter, when a dear friend gave me a bunch of delicious oranges. The result was amazing!

Gather all the ingredients.

Finely grate the orange zest after washing and drying the orange thoroughly. If using a fresh orange, use a vegetable peeler to remove only the outer orange part, avoiding the bitter white pith. I used frozen orange zest saved from winter.

In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and 2 to 3 teaspoons of powdered sugar. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste.

Mix well, then add the finely grated orange zest.

Stir to combine. Using a teaspoon, spread a little of the mixture onto one ladyfinger, then top with another ladyfinger to make a sandwich.

Continue until all the cream is used. Place the filled cookies on a plate and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The ladyfingers will soften, turning into delicious individual semifreddo treats.
