Ingredients

15 - 20 minutes
serves 2 - 3 servings
  • For the batter : 👇
  • 2 tbspsattu powder
  • 1/2 cupbesan
  • 1/2 cupsooji
  • 1 cupcurds
  • A fewcurry leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tspajwain
  • 1 tspgrated ginger
  • 1 tsproasted cumin seeds
  • 1 tspblack pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbspOnion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsptomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tbspcoriander, chopped
  • 1green chilli, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/ 2 tsp chat masala
  • Water to make the batter
  • Oil to roast the uttapams
  • Spicy Sattu Chutney to serve

Steps

15 - 20 minutes
  1. 1

    Combine all the ingredients for the Uttapam batter & mix. Keep aside.

    Add water & make a smooth batter. Cover & rest the batter for 15 -20 minutes.

    Now heat & grease a non-stick pan & spread the Uttapam on it. Put 1/2 - 1 tsp oil on it. Cover & roast the uttapam on one side very well.

    Flip & cover to cook the other side well also. Take it out on a plate & serve with a chutney of your choice. I have served it with Spicy Sattu Chutney.Enjoy this High Protein breakfast.
