Steps
- 1
It is very much important to soak this special red rice for a good 4-5 hours or overnight for best results. It is highly recommended.
- 2
As far as cooking it is concerned, one can cook it as normal rice or do it as per one's choice. They can be pressure cooked as well. But I prefer doing it the simple way. That is by cooking it first and then draining it later to get a perfectly done rice. Just like the normal rice and water ratio of 1:2, the same applies to it as well. But soaking is important.
- 3
Once drained well, let it cook on a low heat just until the steam builds up and it gets heated up well. Fluff it up next and serve it piping hot right away.
- 4
Relish this beautiful healthy rice for lunch or dinner alongside any of your favourite sabzi, daal and salad. Enjoy!
