You can add a little serrano ham if you are not a vegetarian to give this dish extra flavour. If you use frozen broad beans, de-freeze beforehand.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the sliced garlic until golden - remove from the pan and set aside
- 2
Sauté the broad beans in the same frying pan for about 5 mins
- 3
Mix the garlic with the paprika and water in a blender and then add to the frying pan - season with salt and pepper - cover and cook for a further 20 mins until the beans are tender (add more water if necessary)
